Most creators treat the video description like a junk drawer: ten URLs, affiliate disclaimers, and a wall of text nobody reads. YouTube still surfaces that block constantly—especially on mobile—so clarity beats completeness.

One primary action per video

Pick one destination that matches the video’s promise: the product you reviewed, the template you mentioned, or the signup you teased. Put that link first, on its own line, with a plain sentence above it.

Everything else—socials, secondary affiliates, playlist links—can sit below. When every line screams “click me,” none of them win.

Why short, human slugs outperform random strings
