By using Octilink, you agree to these terms. They are meant to keep the service safe, fair, and reliable for creators and teams.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Octilink website, APIs, or related services ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use paid features with involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms and any payment obligations.

3. Account & License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service to create and manage short links and QR codes, subject to these terms and your plan limits.

• You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
• You must not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose or violate laws in your jurisdiction (including intellectual property and export laws).

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Octilink to create or distribute links that point to or facilitate:

• Malware, phishing, fraud, or scams.
• Illegal content, including pirated or unlawfully distributed material.
• Hate speech, harassment, or content that promotes violence or illegal harm.
• Sexually explicit material or services aimed at adults when presented in a way that violates applicable law or our policies.
• Spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or deceptive redirects.

We may suspend or terminate accounts or disable links that violate these rules or threaten the integrity of the Service, with or without prior notice, depending on severity.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Octilink offers free and paid plans.

• Billing: Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or annual) as shown at checkout.
• Cancellation: You may cancel renewal at any time from your account; access typically continues through the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on qualifying purchases as described on our pricing page; contact support@octi.link within 30 days of initial purchase if you are not satisfied.
• Taxes & fees: Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

6. Service Availability & Changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be modified, limited, or discontinued for maintenance, security, legal, or business reasons. We are not liable for downtime except where required by law.

7. Intellectual Property

Octilink and its branding, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit; you grant us a license to host, process, and display it as needed to operate the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Octilink and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Octilink against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we may also notify you by email or in the product. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to bring claims related to the Service only in courts located in the United States, unless a different forum is required by mandatory local law.
