At Octilink, we believe your data belongs to you. We collect only what we need to run short links, QR codes, and analytics for your account. We do not sell your personal information.

Account information: Email address and related profile data you provide when you sign up or manage your account (including authentication via our identity provider).
Service content: Short links you create, destination URLs, optional labels, and QR assets—so we can resolve links, show analytics, and operate your dashboard.
Usage and analytics: Events such as link clicks and QR scans (including approximate technical metadata needed to show counts and referrers in the product).
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and similar data sent by your browser for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and related technologies where required for sign-in, preferences, and site functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to operate and improve Octilink, including:

Providing, securing, and troubleshooting the service.
Processing payments and managing subscriptions.
Sending transactional messages (e.g., sign-in links, billing receipts, security notices).
Measuring product usage and performance, including aggregated analytics to understand how the site and features are used.
Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms.

3. Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 on our marketing site and app surfaces to understand traffic and feature usage. Google may collect information such as pages viewed, general location derived from IP, and device data, subject to Google's policies. You can learn more in Google's Privacy Policy. 4. Data Ownership & Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as needed to run Octilink or as required by law:

With your direction or consent: When you ask us to integrate with a third party or otherwise agree to sharing.
Service providers: Vendors who process data on our behalf under contract—for example payment processing (e.g., Stripe), hosting and authentication (e.g., Supabase), and analytics (e.g., Google). They may only use data to provide services to us.
Legal and safety: When we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with law, protect our users or the public, or enforce our agreements.

We do not provide your personal information to third parties for training their generative AI models.

5. International Users

Octilink is operated from the United States. If you access the service from other countries, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other locations where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or legal mechanisms for international transfers.

6. Children's Privacy

Octilink is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many choices in your account settings. You may also contact us at support@octi.link. Residents of the EEA, UK, or California may have additional rights under applicable law; we will respond consistent with those laws.

8. Data Security & Retention

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No online service is completely secure. We retain information only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example, by email or an in-product message).
